Peter Wade Photography is the personal brand of Sydney-based freelance sports photographer Peter Wade. Peter’s passion for photography and sport converge through his stunning images of rugby, cricket, basketball, rowing and athletics, frequently seen across school magazines, websites and homes throughout New South Wales.
When Peter approached AX Digital, he was feeling limited by his existing website. We developed a homepage that showcases Peter’s most compelling shots, sorted by sport and theme. Each gallery offers full-screen viewing, a distraction-free layout, and consistent branding throughout. Typography was chosen to be clean and contemporary, ensuring it complements rather than competes with the visuals.
Mobile responsiveness was a must, as many customers access the site from their phones to view or purchase images. We ensured that both gallery viewing and checkout processes are simple, fast, and fully mobile-optimised.

eCommerce Architecture
A great website design means little without solid development behind it. For Peter’s site, the technical build had to meet the needs of a high-volume, image-heavy eCommerce platform.
We implemented WooCommerce to enable a powerful and intuitive shopping experience. This included Stripe integration for seamless and secure payments. Understanding Peter’s workflow, we built a custom bulk image upload feature. Now, he can upload entire galleries from events and automatically turn them into purchasable products with minimal effort.
To ensure the site performed at high speed worldwide, we optimised image delivery through a Content Delivery Network (CDN). Combined with Cloudflare, the site enjoys fast load times and strong security regardless of the user’s location.
We also focused on clean code structure, lightweight plugins, and a CMS setup that makes content updates easy for Peter to manage going forward.
