When The Little Vineyard came to us, they were ready for a digital transformation. Nestled on the edge of the Yarra Valley, this rustic wedding venue had all the charm a couple could ask for — but their online presence was lagging behind. With a dated Squarespace site and low mobile usability, they needed a modern digital strategy that matched the elegance and excitement of their real-life experience.

Our mission? Design a faster, sleeker website with UX front and centre, and power it with Google Ads to attract wedding planners and event organisers throughout Victoria.

This project was all about revitalising The Little Vineyard’s digital footprint. We rebuilt their website from the ground up in WordPress, with mobile-first design and clean UX principles. On top of that, we launched targeted Google Ads campaigns, not just for weddings, but to fill weekday slots with private events and celebrations.

The old website was struggling. Slow loading times, clunky navigation, and an outdated aesthetic were holding the brand back. We knew that in the wedding industry, first impressions count — and often, they happen on mobile phones.

Why WordPress?

The old Squarespace site had served its purpose, but for speed, flexibility and SEO, WordPress was the clear winner. We rebuilt the entire site from scratch on a lightweight, performance-driven framework optimised for Core Web Vitals. Here are some technical improvements:

Overcoming Challenges

While weddings are The Little Vineyard’s bread and butter, the venue has untapped potential during the week. We created Google Ads campaigns targeting other event types: birthdays, engagements, corporate functions, and more.

Smart Targeting, Better ROI

Each ad group was carefully tailored to different event types, using high-performing search terms and emotional messaging to capture user intent.

Highlights:

  • The “Weddings” ad group alone drove 527 conversions.
  • Total conversions: 583 from the ad spend — a cost-effective win for the brand

Full-Funnel Tracking By linking Google Ads with site analytics and conversion tracking, we ensured every dollar spent was traceable. This gave us real-time data on which keywords and ad variants were bringing the most value.

With a rebuilt website and Google Ads strategy firing on all cylinders, The Little Vineyard is now better positioned than ever to attract bookings year-round. The refreshed look and optimised performance align perfectly with their high standards for food, service, and experience — and the numbers speak for themselves.

From a 102% boost in page views to conversion rates hitting over 23%, this project turned a beautiful venue into a digital success story.
