The Scope
In another successful collaboration for the team at AX Digital, we worked with Burst branding agency to create a user-friendly website for Xtracted, a residential and commercial Coffee Products Supplier in Melbourne, Victoria. The scope of work and design brief included delivering custom functionality and unique gallery views to showcase their portfolio of products via desktop, tablet and smartphones to all prospective customers.
The Main Objective
With the main objective of the brief being to create a fresh and new portfolio that would stand out in the industry, we worked closely with Burst branding agency who designed the custom functionality, whilse we embedded coding as per their design.
Working collaboratively with Burst branding agency, we created custom functionality including hover play videos, unique gallery view, service page, and a rotating scroll bar called the revolver.
One unique challenge we faced was creating custom functionality that would look good on both desktop and mobile devices. The rotating revolver was particularly challenging as it did not replicate well on mobile devices.To overcome these challenges, we adapted to mobile devices by reducing the number of icons in the revolver and created an accordion-style gallery view specifically for mobile devices. We relied heavily on custom code written in JavaScript to deliver this project successfully.
The Solution
The final result was delivered within the required timeline and Xtracted was able to showcase their products at a tradeshow successfully. We continue working with Burst branding agency on a frequent basis with excellent results.
In conclusion, collaboration between AX Digital and Burst branding agency resulted in an effective solution that satisfied our client’s requirements whilst overcoming unique challenges along the way. By working together closely with Burst branding agency, we were able to create a responsive layout with custom functionality that looks great on all devices.
